We manufacture almost all of our gear with a small, family-run manufacturer in Guatemala. We used to do most of our print/cut/sew work right here in Miami, FL (where we're based out of), but were having a lot of issues with quality and consistency. After an extensive search and lots of sampling, we found a family who started a business in Guatemala after having similar struggles. We've been working super closely with them ever since and do almost all of our manufacturing there at this point. They're really great and only about a 2 hours flight away from where we're based, so we're able to visit every few months. A lot of their employees have been there for many many years and it's become somewhat of a network of family and friends employed there. The factory is small but nicely set up. All employees are paid a living wage and the factory manager is also part-owner and really cares deeply about the employees.
In terms of our fabric, most of it is made from recycled polyester derived from post-consumer plastic bottles. We make our fabric in North Carolina using bottles sourced from local recycling facilities also in NC and then sent to Guatemala for the print, cut, and sew. We do have a few exceptions, for example, our organic cotton tees and tanks are cut/sewn/printed in California.
